Mauritius will make it difficult for shell companies using a liberal and controversial bilateral tax treaty with New Delhi to evade taxes in India, the island nation’s finance minister, Seetanah Lutchmeenaraidoo, said on Friday. The finance minister’s visit precedes dialogue between the two countries on June 29-30 to fine tune the treaty.
