Feb infrastructure output up 2.2 pct

Output rose an 7.0 per cent in February 2008,and in the 2007/08 fiscal year it rose 5.6 per cent.

India’s infrastructure sector output grew 2.2 per cent in February from a year earlier,above an upwardly revised 1.5 per cent in January ,government data showed on Friday.

Output rose an annual 7.0 per cent in February 2008,and in the 2007/08 fiscal year it rose 5.6 per cent.

The infrastructure sector accounts for 26.7 per cent of India’s industrial output.
