Vijay Kumar Hansdak

Vijay Kumar Hansdak’s political journey began with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), a regional political party in Jharkhand. He represents the Rajmahal constituency, a position previously held by his father, the late Shri Thomas Hansda.

He won the Lok Sabha elections for the first time in 2014 and went on to retain his seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha, earning himself his second consecutive term in the lower house of the Indian Parliament.

During his tenure, he has participated in 15 debates, including discussions on the Indian Economy, the Interim Budget 2024-25, and the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Eighth Amendment) Bill, 2023.

However, his parliamentary activity is below the national and state averages. His attendance stands at 65%, compared to the national average of 79% and the state average of 85%. He has asked 27 questions, significantly lower than the national average of 210 and the state average of 244.
