Raghu Rama Krishna Raju biography
Raghu Rama Krishna Raju is a leader from the Andhra Pradesh-based Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party and a Member of the Parliament from the Vijayawada constituency. Born on May 14, 1962, in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, he was the son of Annapoorna and Kanumuru Venkata Satya Suryanarayana Raju. At Visakhapatnam's Andhra University, he pursued a Master of Pharmacy degree. In 1980, he wed Rama Devi and had a son and daughter.
He established himself as a successful industrialist before entering politics. He founded companies in sectors like construction, infrastructure, and mining, amassing wealth and influence.
In 2014, he made his political debut by joining the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party. However, he joined the BJP after failing to win the party's candidacy. A year later, he relocated once more and joined the Telugu Desam Party before switching back to the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party in 2019. Some questioned this political nomadism, blaming it more on personal goals than ideological alignment.
