New Delhi, Feb 24 (ANI): Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan in an interview given to a leading television channel has expressed his fear that if changes are not made in Indian cinema, then, there is a possibility that it might be taken over by Hollywood even at the local level.Though change is coming to the industry with newbies entering it, the actor said if one looks at the issue from a global perspective, then a majority of the popular films have been the Hollywood ones, and India is the only country where local cinema does better than international cinema.Quoting Hollywood film director Quentin Tarantino, he added that the reason for local movies to survive is stardom. But the star also believes that stardom in this country, whether for a director or an actor, is like watching a football match. So, as long as the star system is retained in this country; it will be sometime before international cinema takes over.He said the time is not far when international films will compete with local cinema.
