Chasing 191, Zimbabwe will need a composed and clinical batting effort to notch their first win of the season. Can they pull off the chase, or will New Zealand extend their unbeaten run? Stay tuned — the second innings is coming up shortly.

Richard Ngarava is up for a chat. He says injuries are always tough and he had to adjust a bit, but as a cricketer, things happen. Adds that the wicket is on the slower side, the conditions have made them to mix up pace. Tells there is responsibility on him but he has support from the youngsters around.

Zimbabwe showed promise with the ball, but a string of loose deliveries in the middle overs let the pressure slip. However, they bounced back impressively at the death, claiming a flurry of wickets to restrict New Zealand to under 200. Richard Ngarava was the standout performer with four wickets, while Tinotenda Maposa provided solid support with two. Sikandar Raza and Dion Myers were economical, though Trevor Gwandu’s expensive spell gave the Kiwis some breathing room.

A solid all-round batting performance from the Black Caps saw them post an impressive 190/6 in their 20 overs. After choosing to bat first, New Zealand suffered an early blow with the dismissal of Tim Robinson, but Rachin Ravindra and Tim Seifert steadied the innings superbly. The duo put on a commanding 108-run stand for the second wicket, with Ravindra scoring a fluent 63 and Seifert anchoring the innings with a powerful 75. Though the Kiwis lost a few quick wickets towards the end, a composed late cameo from Michael Bracewell ensured they reached a formidable total.

Pitch Report - Ed Rainsford and Tino Mawoyo are at the pitchside. They share that the pitch appears quite dry with several visible cracks, and it’s likely to behave similarly to previous matches, though it may play a bit slower. Closes by adding that batting first might not be a bad option after all.

Mark Chapman is up for a chat. He says that there's so much cricket these days, and first of all, it's really good to be back in international cricket, and it was a long flight from the USA. Adds that they pride themselves on playing good cricket, and they have got a good, balanced side. Mentions that they have got a new coach and they are trying different combinations.  Closes by adding that they changed the bowling attack last game, and Foulkes and O'Rourke came back, and they did not miss a beat.

Sikandar Raza, the skipper of Zimbabwe, says that batting first has been challenging, and they have come under fire for that.  Adds that this game matters more than any other game, in his opinion, when they win, the culture change develops a lot smoothly. The Zimbabwean batters have struggled, failing to cross the 150-run mark in each of their outings. While Brian Bennett, Sikandar Raza, and Ryan Burl have shown flashes of form, they’ve lacked consistent support. With the ball, Richard Ngarava and Tinotenda Maposa have been standout performers, but the team needs a collective lift to finish their campaign on a high.
