Commentary
Back for the chase. The players are out in the middle. Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani to open for Zimbabwe. Gerhard Erasmus to bowl first.
... THE RUN CHASE ...
But Ruben Trumpelmann stepped up, unleashing a whirlwind 46 off 24 balls, taking Zimbabwe's bowlers to task. His cameo provided the much-needed late acceleration for Namibia. Alexander Volschenk finished the innings in style, smashing an unbeaten 20 off 11 balls, including a big six. Namibia posted 204/7 in their 20 overs, thanks to some scintillating batting from Frylinck and Trumpelmann. Can Zimbabwe chase down this total? We'll have to wait and see.
And what an innings it was for Namibia! Jan Frylinck was on fire from the get-go, smashing his fifty off just 13 balls, a record for the fastest fifty by a Namibian player. He and debutant Louren Steenkamp put on 74 runs for the opening wicket, with Frylinck going on to score 77 before being trapped by Sikandar Raza. That breakthrough was crucial for Zimbabwe, but Namibia's middle order faltered, slumping to 144/6. Gerhard Erasmus, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, JJ Smit, and Zane Green couldn't capitalize on their starts.

All set for the game to begin. The umpires and the players are out in the middle. Jan Frylinck and Louren Steenkamp walk in with their blades for Namibia. Wellington Masakadza has the new ball in hand and is raring to go. Let's play...
Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza stated that his team preferred bowling first. Raza highlighted three changes in the lineups. He emphasized that confidence stems from good performances, citing Zimbabwe's recent success against Sri Lanka. Currently leading the series 2-0, Raza stressed the importance of taking each game one at a time, given the cutthroat nature of the qualifier.
Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus says that his team will bat first. He revealed two changes in the lineup, expressing excitement for the match and praising the series for providing valuable exposure for young players. Erasmus commended Zimbabwe's skills, noting they've posed significant challenges for Namibia throughout the series.

TOSS - Namibia have won the toss and will BAT first.
Now, as we head into the final match, the stakes are different for both teams. Namibia, having lost the series, will be playing for pride and a chance to salvage a win against a strong opponent. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe will be focused on a ruthless performance to cap off their successful campaign with a clean sweep. Get ready for a thrilling contest as these two teams give it their all in Bulawayo! Toss and team news to follow shortly...
However, Zimbabwe's chase was once again anchored by the impressive Tadiwanashe Marumani, who notched his third consecutive T20I fifty. Ryan Burl’s late heroics with the bat sealed the win, proving that the Chevrons have the depth and firepower to chase down challenging totals. Their consistent performance has been a testament to their form and determination throughout the series.
The series so far has been a showcase of explosive batting and tense finishes. In the opener, the Chevrons' top order, led by spectacular fifties from Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani, posted a formidable total of 211. Despite a valiant chase from the Namibian Eagles, Zimbabwe's bowlers, particularly Blessing Muzarabani and Sikandar Raza, held their nerve to secure a 33-run victory. The second match saw Namibia put up a strong total of 169, thanks to some fine contributions from Malan Kruger, Nicol Loftie-Eaton, and captain Gerhard Erasmus.
Welcome to the final showdown of the three-match T20I series between Zimbabwe and Namibia! The stage is set at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo for what promises to be an exciting conclusion. The home side, Zimbabwe, comes into this match with an unassailable 2-0 lead, having already clinched the series with two impressive performances. They'll be looking to complete a clean sweep and assert their dominance with a memorable whitewash on their home turf.
...MATCH DAY...
The third and final T20I at Queens Sports Club may be a dead rubber in the series scoreline, but not in spirit. Zimbabwe already have the trophy bagged with a 2-0 lead, and now they eye a whitewash to stamp their authority. For Namibia, this match is about pride, resilience, and avoiding the bitter taste of a clean sweep. After back-to-back games in two consecutive days that tested both teams’ depth, a day’s breather gives both sides a chance to recharge before one final push. So, how have Zimbabwe played so far? Quite brilliantly. Their batting has been on fire, where Brian Bennett has been the standout star, smashing 94 in the first game and a fiery 40 off just 20 balls in the second, making him the series’ batting heartbeat. Tadiwanashe Marumani, too, has been consistent, following his 62 in the opener with a quickfire 50 in the second. Add in Brendan Taylor’s calm and Ryan Burl’s late fireworks, and the top and middle order look in perfect sync. The bowling has done its job as well, with Richard Ngarava and Brad Evans picking up crucial wickets, while Sikandar Raza continues to chip in with both bat and ball. Then, is there anything that Zimbabwe need to improve? Their bowling - which has been good but in patches. In the first game, Namibia’s late-order hitting dented their death overs. In the second, despite chasing comfortably, they did allow Namibia’s middle order to build partnerships. With the series done, Zimbabwe might even test their bench strength, but Raza will want his attack to be sharper, especially in containing power hitters like Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton and Gerhard Erasmus. Meanwhile, on the flip side, we have Namibia. Where do they stand after two tough outings? They’ve shown spirit but lacked finishing. In the opener, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton and Zane Green gave them hope, but chasing a target of 212 was always uphill. In the second game, they were much better - Malan Kruger, Loftie-Eaton, and Erasmus all stitched together a competitive 169, only to watch Zimbabwe hunt it down with ease. The bowlers, led by JJ Smit and Ruben Trumpelmann, fought hard but couldn’t keep Zimbabwe’s aggressive top order quiet. So, what do Namibia need to do to finally cross the line? Convert starts into a match-winning innings. Loftie-Eaton and Kruger have looked good but haven’t carried through to the 70s or 80s that can tilt games. Erasmus needs more support from the lower middle order, where Smit and Trumpelmann can play bigger roles. Bowling-wise, Namibia must strike early - dismissing Bennett or Marumani inside the powerplay is key. Otherwise, they’ll be left chasing shadows again. So, what’s the buildup for this final clash? The Bulawayo pitch has been friendly for batters, with both games crossing 160 easily. Expect another high-scoring contest where the new ball holds the key and slower balls at the death will decide the margins. Zimbabwe, riding on form and home advantage, look favourite to complete the whitewash. But Namibia, with pride on the line and no pressure of series results, might just throw caution to the wind and play their freest cricket yet. Will Zimbabwe complete a clean sweep to underline their dominance, or can Namibia roar back and snatch one for pride? The answer comes under the Bulawayo skies.
That is all from this fantastic tour. Zimbabwe take the prize while Namibia avoid the clean sweep. Sikandar Raza collects the award and his teammates join him to pose for the cameras. We hope you enjoyed the coverage. A lot of cricket is happening around the world. Switch the tabs and join us on the other side. Goodbye and cheers!
Sikandar Raza, the captain of Zimbabwe says they got answers to the questions they were asking before the series but credits the way Namibia played. Mentions they didn't bat or bowl well today, they need to work hard and hope all the departments fire together. Feels they have bowled well in the middle periods throughout the series. Mentions that they need to bat and bowl well in the Powerplay. Ends by appreciating the crowd for the support.
Brian Bennett WINS THE PLAYER OF THE SERIES AWARD. He says getting some runs into this series helps him boost his confidence. Mentions Harare wickets are quicker while today the wicket was slightly slower.
Jan Frylinck wins the PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD. He says he just went out there and expressed himself, feels it was just his day. Reckons they play on conditions that are tricky but are happy to play on this flat pitch.
Gerhard Erasmus, the skipper of Namibia says it's good to win the final match and take some momentum into the tour. Tells Zimbabwe played really well and gave a good fight. Reckons the batters expressed themselves in the Powerplay, while he feels the bowlers need to be smarter during crunch situations. Ends by saying they are well prepared for the qualifiers and excited about the challenge ahead.
...Presentation...
Earlier in the game, Jan Frylinck's explosive batting set the tone for Namibia's innings, as he smashed his fifty off just 13 balls, the fastest by a Namibian player. He added 74 runs for the opening wicket with Louren Steenkamp, who contributed 14 runs. Frylinck's 77-run knock came to an end when Sikandar Raza trapped him, providing a crucial breakthrough for Zimbabwe. Ruben Trumpelmann stepped up in the tail-end overs, blasting 46 runs off 24 balls and taking Zimbabwe's bowlers to task while Alexander Volschenk finished the innings with a flourish.
It was hard for Zimbabwe to get back on track after losing four wickets for not many on the board. Trying to get some momentum, Zimbabwe lost too many overs to settle in but credit to Sean Williams' lone effort which kept Zimbabwe kept into the game. For Namibia, JJ Smit was the star with four wickets in his spell.
A solid effort at home from Zimbabwe and they'll take a lot of pride in how they have performed in this series. Despite not winning the series, Namibia were playing for pride and they did the job with the bat up front, which put them in a commendable position. The bowlers started well by picking four wickets inside the Powerplay, including the big wicket of Sikandar Raza but were put under pressure by Sean Williams whose lone effort kept Zimbabwe in the game but with a mountain to climb, Zimbabwe needed fireworks from both sides which didn't arrive.
