Commentary
Back with the chase! The players of Windies are in a huddle beside the boundary cushions before they spread out to take their respective positions. Also, walk out the two openers of Pakistan where Saim Ayub will open the innings alongside Abdullah Shafique. Jayden Seales has the new ball in his hands, and he will start the proceedings with a slip in the place. Here we go...
... THE RUN CHASE ...
Alright then, the focus shifts to Pakistan’s chase of 281. The target is very much within reach, but the pitch conditions promise challenges, as the ball is gripping for spinners and still doing a bit for the seamers. West Indies will aim to strike early, especially in the first Powerplay, to put pressure on Pakistan’s middle order. For Pakistan, a strong, quick start from the openers could break the back of the chase, but a couple of early wickets might make things tense. With dew possibly coming in later to aid the batting side, this could still go either way, and the crowd can expect another rollercoaster half of cricket. The chase is coming up next, stay tuned!
Roston Chase of West Indies is up for a quick chat. He says that he doesn't have a preferred batting position, and it is all about going out there and giving his best. Adds that it was a bit tough to begin as the spinners were bowling and didn't want to leave the responsibility for the other batters. Says that he was disappointed when he got out and mentions that the way the wicket played out, they wanted to get to 285 and fell short by just 5 runs and will have to make do with that.
Pakistan’s bowlers operated smartly under Mohammad Rizwan’s leadership. The spinners - Saim Ayub, Salman Agha, and Sufiyan Muqeem - used the surface well, extracting turn and bounce, and keeping the middle overs tight. Ayub was the pick among them, beating the bat repeatedly and dismissing Lewis with a sharp turn. Shaheen Afridi’s four-wicket haul was the standout effort, as he varied his pace, bowled with intent, and struck whenever Pakistan needed a breakthrough. Naseem Shah was equally effective at the death, snapping up three lower-order wickets to end the innings swiftly. If there was some flaw, it was in Pakistan’s fielding, where a few misfields and fumbles gave away some extra runs that could prove costly later, but overall, they did well.
The responsibility then fell on captain Shai Hope and Roston Chase, and both looked assured against Pakistan’s spin attack. Hope’s innings was scratchy, with several dot balls testing his patience, and he struggled with timing. In a curious moment, he changed his bat twice, perhaps chasing that sweet timing that kept eluding him. Still, he reached his fifty before falling to Shaheen just as he seemed ready to press on. Chase, meanwhile, played with more freedom, using his feet well against the spinners and clearing the ropes. He, too, brought up a solid fifty, only to perish immediately after, triggering a mini-collapse. But Gudakesh Motie, down the order, batted really well as he hit a few breathtaking boundaries and added valuable runs to help his team reach this 280 total, which has ensured them an edge.
Mohammad Rizwan sent the West Indies in to bat first after winning the toss, and the batting of the Windies had an early jolt when Brandon King departed in the very first over. But Evin Lewis and Keacy Carty steadied the innings with a calm, well-paced stand, picking gaps and punishing anything loose. Lewis was fluent, mixing elegant strokes with powerful hits, bringing up his fifty. Carty, though less aggressive, kept the scoreboard ticking until he fell to an unfortunate full toss from Sufiyan Muqeem just after the first Powerplay 1. Lewis, eyeing a big one, looked to up the tempo but was caught in the deep, leaving the Windies with rebuilding work to do again.
THRILLING, TENSE, BUT EVENLY POISED - that’s how the first innings of this opening ODI in Tarouba can be summed up. West Indies fought their way to 280, a score that keeps them in the game but leaves the door open for Pakistan. Both teams had their moments, where the hosts started well after an early setback, built steady partnerships, and finished with some late ball striking, while Pakistan’s bowlers kept finding breakthroughs at key moments. The pitch has played a tricky hand, gripping for the spinners and helping the seamers with the old ball, meaning the chase isn't going to be straightforward. With momentum swinging back and forth, the match now stands delicately balanced as we head into the second innings.

Naseem Shah to Jediah Blades, OUT! TIMBER! Full and quick from Naseem Shah, swinging back in. Too good for a tailender and Jediah Blades is beaten all ends up. He tries to block but the ball sneaks through bat and pad and goes on to hit the leg pole. West Indies are all out for 280 runs in exactly 49 overs.
Jediah Blades is the last man in.

Naseem Shah to Gudakesh Motie, OUT! BOWLED'EM! Naseem Shah finally gets his man. This is bowled full and quick and on off, Gudakesh Motie tries to shuffle across and play the falling lap sweep but only manages to fall over. The ball goes through the gap between bat and pad to smash into the stumps and Motie has to depart after playing a blinder of a knock worth 31 runs off just 18 balls.

Naseem Shah to Gudakesh Motie, Oh, it's all happening out there in the middle! Naseem Shah slips in a yorker right at the base of the leg pole and Gudakesh Motie is beaten for pace. Motie ends up trying to get out of the way by spreading the legs and the ball goes through to the keeper. There is an appeal for LBW but the umpire says no. However, there is a noise and later on, replays show that the ball actually flicked the outside of the leg stump. At that pace, the ball flicked the stumps and the bails didn't come off, remarkable!

Naseem Shah to Gudakesh Motie, FOUR! Shot! Short ball around off, Gudakesh Motie reaches out and pulls it away in front of square leg, splitting the fielders deep on the leg side perfectly and finds a boundary.

Shaheen Afridi to Jayden Seales, FOUR BYES! Oh, that is very unlucky for the bowler! Another perfect yorker from Shaheen Afridi, around off and tailing back in. Jayden Seales is beaten all ends up, but the ball just doesn't tail back in enough. It misses the off stump and hits the stump cover, before bouncing away past the keeper and into the fence behind for a boundary.

Shaheen Afridi to Shamar Joseph, OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! A searing yorker from Shaheen Afridi, right on the money. This is bowled full and straight, tails back into the middle stump. West Indies are eight down, and this is the fourth wicket for Afridi.

Naseem Shah to Shamar Joseph, NOT OUT! A review taken more in hope. Naseem Shah goes full and attacks the pads, Shamar Joseph plays all around it and gets hit on the pads. There is an appeal for LBW from the bowler, which is turned down, and the batters get a leg bye as the ball rolls down to fine leg. Mohammad Rizwan thinks it is pitching outside leg, but still goes for the review. Nothing on UltraEdge, and it is pitching well outside leg, as confirmed by Ball Tracking.
Is that out? Pakistan have opted for a review for an LBW appeal, which was turned down by the umpire. It seems that it has pitched outside leg. Let's see. There is nothing on UltraEdge and Ball Tracking confirms the same, it has pitched outside leg and Shamar Joseph remains NOT OUT.

Naseem Shah to Gudakesh Motie, Just short! Or was it? Seemed very close at first, but Salman Agha doesn't claim the catch, and the umpires don't go upstairs either. Pitched-up delivery outside off, Gudakesh Motie looks to hit it over covers but ends up slicing it. Salman, at cover, dives in front and pouches the ball on the half-volley, it seems.

Naseem Shah to Roston Chase, OUT! CAUGHT! FIFTY AND OUT! West Indies lose their seventh, and this one is a big one as all of their recognised batters are back in the hut now. Naseem goes fuller and around off, gets some drift off the old ball. Chase comes forward and looks to push it with soft hands for just a single. But ends up chipping it aerially towards long on, where Babar Azam comes forward a bit and takes it around his chest height easily. This was an important wicket for both teams, and now, Pakistan have an upper hand in this contest.

Gets it sliced off the outer half of the bat and the ball flies towards deep backward point, where Abdullah Shafique runs from wide deep fine leg to his right and pouches this running catch nicely around his chest height. Shaheen bowls it another pace-off delivery, keeps it on the hard length and bowls it around off this time, angles it away from the batter. Shai Hope gets deceived by the lack of pace on it as he swings his bat hard on it again. Doesn't get in a good position and only manages to get a feather on it as the ball takes the outside edge and goes to the right of the keeper, where Mohammad Rizwan leaps a bit that side and grabs it nicely. Shai has made a fifty but has chewed balls too and struggled to time the ball in this inning.

Faheem Ashraf to Roston Chase, Good-length delivery, angled in from outside off, Roston Chase shuffles across to scoop it away but misses and the ball goes straight into the keeper's clutches. Half an appeal for caught behind but turned down. DRINKS! West Indies are going well for the moment because of this partnership between their skipper and Roston Chase, as both have played well against the spinners who have got grip and turn off the surface. Now, they have to bat well for the next ten overs or so, and then they can go bang-bang from there to get access to a score of 300 or more. Meanwhile, Pakistan have been disciplined in bowling so far and they have reaped the rewards in four wickets so far. They need to chip in more and tilt the game in their favour. Let's see what happens in the next phase. Also, during the drinks break, the skipper of Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan, has chosen a used ball from two to go ahead for the next sixteen overs as per the new guidelines. Faheem Ashraf to bowl next.

Saim Ayub to Evin Lewis, OUT! CAUGHT! What a fine take from Shaheen Afridi in the end and for once, the extra ball in the over, works out in the bowler's favor. Saim Ayub stays around the wicket and gives this one a bit more air, tossing it up around off. DRINKS! West Indies were getting going well after that early hiccup, but Sufiyan Muqeem has got a lucky wicket here, and an unlucky dismissal for a set and in-form batter, Keacy Carty, has resulted in WI to 81/2. They do have a good batting lineup, and with Evin Lewis set at one end, and the skipper joining at the other, the Windies will hope that this pair can stitch a good partnership from here and lay a platform so that their pinch-hitters can take off down the order for a huge score. Meanwhile, Pakistan would want to chip in more wickets and keep the pressure going with strict line and lengths from their spinners. Let's see how the next phase pans out. Also, the skipper, Shai Hope, walks out to bat next at number four.

Done and dusted with the pre-match proceedings! The umpires are out in the middle and the players of Pakistan can be seen in a huddle around the boundary ropes before heading out on the field. It will be the pairing of Brandon King and Evin Lewis to open the innings for West Indies. Shaheen Afridi has the new ball in hand and is raring to go. Let's play...
We are just a few minutes away from the start of the game. A lot of young mascots are out there and they are joined by a few officials as well. Also, Deighton Butler, one of the on-field umpires, receives a memento from Match Referee, Richie Richardson, as he makes his debut as an umpire in an ODI game. Onto the anthems next and first up, it will be the national anthem of Trinidad followed by the national anthem of Pakistan and then finally, the West Indian anthem.
PITCH REPORT - Samuel Badree is pitchside along with Stacy-Ann King. Badree says this is the newest venue to host men’s ODIs, with the first match played here in 2022 and now the second taking place today. From the northern end, the straight hit measures 74 meters, while the square boundaries are 64 and 62 meters. He reminds that the 2024 T20 World Cup semi-final was also played here. Badree notes that the pitch has favoured bowlers in the past. Stacy mentions that there is a covering of green grass, and the surface feels quite hard, which will make life challenging for the batters. She adds that spinners are likely to play a key role, and with possible rain interruptions on the cards, conditions could get even trickier. With vital points on offer for World Cup qualification, they expect a fascinating contest.
Shai Hope, the West Indies captain, says he would have bowled first as well, sharing the same thought process as Rizwan. Adds that the team still has its own brand of cricket they want to play, and the players have been showcasing their skill and talent well. Hope stresses the importance of remaining consistent in this format and admits that qualifying for the World Cup 2027 remains a top priority. Says they often speak about the importance of securing automatic qualification and remain focused on that goal.
Mohammad Rizwan, the skipper of Pakistan, says that they will BOWL first. Reckons that there is moisture in the deck and they want to use that. Adds that their goal is to play a modern way of cricket and informs that they aren't quite sure of the pitch conditions and have plenty of all-rounders in the team.
Meanwhile, in Bulawayo for the second test, New Zealand have continued their dominance on Day 2, amassing a massive 601/3 in their first innings, establishing a lead of 476 runs. This was built upon the back of some superlative batting performances, three centuries so far, with Henry Nicholls and Rachin Ravindra both scoring impressive centuries to go along with a great start from Devon Conway. The Kiwis' batting prowess was a stark contrast to Zimbabwe's lacklustre performance on Day 1, where they were bowled out for a paltry 125. The Zimbabwean batsmen struggled against a disciplined New Zealand bowling attack, with Matt Henry and Zakary Foulkes being the chief destroyers. Facing a potential whitewash, Zimbabwe will have to produce an extraordinary performance to avoid a heavy defeat.
Pakistan (Playing XI) - Abdullah Shafique, Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan (C) (WK), Salman Agha, Hasan Nawaz (ODI DEBUT), Hussain Talat, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Sufiyan Muqeem.
West Indies (Playing XI) - Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Keacy Carty, Shai Hope (C) (WK), Sherfane Rutherford, Roston Chase, Romario Shepherd, Gudakesh Motie, Shamar Joseph, Jayden Seales, and Jediah Blades.
TOSS - Pakistan have won the toss and they have elected to BOWL first.
With Pakistan off a 3-0 sweep the last time they met in 2022 at their home, history tilts in favour of the visitors. But the Caribbean crowd, a pace-friendly surface, and a West Indies side with nothing to lose could make this a far more even contest than the stats suggest. Stay tuned for more!
On the flip side, we have the West Indies, who have been inconsistent in international cricket for a while. As the older fans who still cherish them as one of the FEARSOME sides back in the 70s and 80s, they need to come out and perform strongly. Here, they enter the ODIs still licking their wounds from a whitewash 5-0 loss to Australia in T20Is, but the return of Brandon King to partner Evin Lewis at the top could give their batting a fresh look. The middle order, featuring skipper Shai Hope, Keacy Carty, who has been a bright prospect for them recently, and power-hitter Sherfane Rutherford down the order, needs to fire if the hosts are to post or chase big totals. Romario Shepherd’s return adds all-round depth, while Roston Chase offers both batting stability and handy off-spin. The absence of Alzarri Joseph is a blow, but the pace attack of Shamar Joseph, Jayden Seales, and newcomer Jediah Blades still has the firepower to trouble Pakistan if conditions suit. Gudakesh Motie’s spin will be key in the middle overs. Injuries to Matthew Forde and Shimron Hetmyer further test the squad’s depth, but this is a side capable of turning up big at home, as they have won their three previous back-to-back ODI series.
Let's talk about Pakistan first. The first thing that comes to our mind is UNPREDICTABILITY, for which they are popular. They come into this series with a blend of momentum and fresh challenges. The absence of Fakhar Zaman means opener Saim Ayub will shoulder the responsibility of giving the visitors fast starts. The middle order will look to Babar Azam, eager to silence critics after a lean patch, and Salman Agha for stability, along with their skipper, Mohammad Rizwan. Excitement surrounds uncapped batter in ODIs, Hasan Nawaz, who has been pretty much consistent with his fireworks recently in T20Is. With the ball, Pakistan’s pace battery of Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Faheem Ashraf remains their biggest weapon, complemented by spinners Mohammad Nawaz and Sufiyan Muqeem. The challenge will be to carry their T20 confidence into the longer format and avoid the lapses which are associated with their name.
Hello and welcome to Tarouba, where the ODI leg of Pakistan’s tour to the West Indies is set to get underway at the iconic Brian Lara Cricket Academy. All three matches of this series will be staged here, and with both sides desperate to turn around their recent 50-over fortunes, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Pakistan arrive fresh from a 2-1 T20I series win, brimming with confidence. For the West Indies, this series offers one last chance to salvage pride from a difficult home season, with captain Shai Hope’s men looking to rediscover their spark in front of home fans.
... MATCH DAY ...
While Pakistan may have dominated the T20 battles, the white-ball warfare in the Caribbean shifts into a new gear with three ODI encounters that promise to redefine this series. The Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba becomes the exclusive venue for what could be the West Indies’ final chance to salvage pride from a disappointing home campaign. The hosts enter this crucial phase carrying the weight of expectation and the sting of recent failures. A solitary victory across their home season tells a story of missed opportunities, making these upcoming matches less about entertainment and more about the survival of reputation. Under Shai Hope's leadership, the home side presents a fascinating mix of established talent and emerging promise. The opening combination of Brandon King and Evin Lewis brings aggression to the top order, setting the foundation for a middle order that blends experience with raw power. Keacy Carty represents the new generation’s hunger, while Sherfane Rutherford’s explosive batting and Justin Greaves’ steady presence offer contrasting yet complementary approaches to run accumulation. The bowling department showcases the region’s evolving cricket landscape. Shamar Joseph’s meteoric ascent continues to capture headlines, leading a pace attack that includes the trio of Matthew Forde, Jayden Seales, and Jediah Blades. While Gudakesh Motie carries the spin bowling responsibilities, the dual skills of Romario Shepherd and Roston Chase add crucial depth to both batting and bowling resources. Pakistan arrives with confidence after their T20 series triumph, having successfully erased the bitter memories of their Bangladesh disappointment with a commanding 2-1 victory. The visitors now enter the ODI arena significantly strengthened, welcoming back two pillars of their batting order who could prove decisive in this longer format. Mohammad Rizwan assumes the captaincy mantle upon his return. Alongside him, premier batter Babar Azam makes his much-awaited comeback to the green jersey, adding vast experience. The batting foundation rests on seasoned campaigners Abdullah Shafique, who finds his place in the squad for an injured Fakhar Zaman, and with the presence of Salman Agha, each will need to carry the responsibility of transforming starts into substantial scores. Meanwhile, the spotlight falls on Pakistan’s emerging talent as Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris, and Hasan Nawaz face the ultimate test of proving their skills in challenging foreign conditions. Pakistan’s bowling arsenal revolves around their feared pace trinity of Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Hasan Ali, who will aim to perform with conviction. The spin department finds itself in the capable hands of mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed and the promising talent Sufiyan Muqeem, while the crucial all-rounder positions are filled by Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Nawaz. The ODI history between these two nations tells a story of infrequent meetings, with this representing just their third series encounter in the past eight years. Their last 50-over clash came in 2022 when Pakistan delivered a dominant 3-0 whitewash to the visiting West Indies on home soil. Perhaps more significantly, Pakistan's return to Caribbean shores for ODI cricket marks the end of an eight-year absence, their last visit in this format dating back to 2017. This extended gap transforms the upcoming series into something of a reunion, where both teams venture into relatively unfamiliar territory with squads largely inexperienced in this particular rivalry. It’s a dual task for the hosts as they have not defeated Pakistan in an ODI series since 1991, at home or away, irrespective. It’s all set up for an enthralling ODI series, which will resurrect this rivalry.
Right then, that is it from this contest and what a close game we've just witnessed. Plenty of action still to come in this series, with two matches left and the next one is up pretty soon. The crucial 2nd ODI will be played at the same venue on Sunday, 10 August at 1.30 pm GMT. However, as usual, you can join us a lot sooner for the build-up. Cheers!
The skipper of Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan, says that he gives full credit to Hussain Talat and Hasan Nawaz, saying that at one stage it looked like the team was under pressure with the opposition bowling well despite the dew, but that seventh-wicket partnership was amazing to watch. Admits that they did not know the conditions well and were in doubt about the forecast, adding that with the next game being a day match, adaptation will be key. Mentions that they won the toss but failed to make use of the surface, and had they done so, they should have kept the opposition under 250. Praises Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah for bowling well in the death overs. Points out the moisture in the pitch, noting that they batted in testing conditions, with even Saim Ayub managing to turn the ball. Believes that if the bowling department improves, such results will follow in the future. Rizwan says that the bowlers are happy, especially with the reverse swing coming into play, and that this new change in rule has the bowlers feeling chuffed about it.
West Indies' skipper, Shai Hope, says that it is a tough loss and the toss definitely had a role to play, but they could have put on a few more runs. Adds that he needs to commend his bowlers for the fight they showed in the end with the wet ball. Reckons that the ball didn't turn much in the second innings and it was a bit tough against the slower ball early on, but emphasizes that they should have got more runs. Goes on to applaud his spinners as they managed to bowl well with the wet ball and hopes that they can improve in the upcoming games.
Hasan Nawaz is adjudged the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his impressive match-winning fifty on debut. Says that he feels truly blessed to have played such an innings in his very first game. The plan, he explains, was to build a solid partnership, especially with the spinners getting the ball to grip early on, which made them avoid taking unnecessary risks. Adds that the strategy was simple, where Hussain Talat would target the spinners while he was focused on handling the pace, and it worked perfectly for the team.
The Presentation ceremony...
Earlier in the game, Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and opted to field first on a deck that had plenty of moisture in it. Things started brightly for Pakistan as Shaheen Afridi got rid of Brandon King in the very first over. There was a good fightback from Keacy Carty and Evin Lewis before the Pakistani spinners came into the game and got a few breakthroughs. In the second half, skipper Shai Hope and Roston Chase scored twin fifties, but a late burst from Shaheen and even Naseem Shah ensured that the Windies couldn't get towards the 300-run mark.
With the score 180/5 and a debutant at the crease, Pakistan needed something special, and their wish was granted as Hasan Nawaz and Hussain Talat weathered the storm and saw off Roston Chase, who was bowling deadly accurate for most of his spell. Then, the duo was able to latch onto some really ordinary bowling by the West Indies pacers and from thereon, they never looked back. It ended up being an unbeaten stand worth 104 runs between the duo, with Nawaz notching up fifty on debut and Talat scoring 41 quick runs as well.
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan took on the mantle for Pakistan and kept the scoreboard ticking, but the Windies spinners started to make their way into the game. Gudakesh Motie bowled a tight spell and even got rid of Babar. West Indies managed to pick up a couple of more wickets at crucial intervals, and once Rizwan fell for 53, it seemed like one more wicket would seal the game for the hosts.
281 was always a gettable total on this track, but given the unpredictable nature of the Pakistani batting, anything could happen. After losing Saim Ayub early, the duo of Abdullah Shafique and Babar Azam steadied the ship. However, the frontline pace duo of Shamar Joseph and Jayden Seales picked up a wicket each to keep it even-steven.
What a game! What a debut from Hasan Nawaz, and he's sealed a memorable victory for his side and has given them a 1-0 lead in this three-match series. West Indies will feel they were ahead in the game heading into the final 10-15 overs, but in the end, Nawaz and Hussain Talat have stolen the show and the game with an over and one ball to spare.

Roston Chase to Salman Agha, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! A soft dismissal and Windies break through. Chase keeps it slower through the air, on the nagging length and around middle, Salman Agha goes back and looks to turn it into the leg side with soft hands to take a single. But the ball gets some grip and holds on the surface as it comes a bit later than Agha would have expected it to be. He ends up chipping it back off the upper half of the bat to the bowler, Roston Chase, who takes it easily. Pakistan are four down. Chase is pumped up, and Agha walks back in disbelief as he is distraught because he was set and looking good.

DRINKS! Pakistan are going well due to his ongoing partnership between their skipper and Salman Agha as they have added 34 runs together. Pakistan still requires 129 runs, and they need a big partnership from this pair as both batters have experience. Meanwhile, Windies need wickets, as Gudakesh Motie has been brilliant so far, but the energy of their pacers is looking a bit down. Without wickets, they might not be able to defend their score. So let's see how this next last phase pans out.

Shamar Joseph to Mohammad Rizwan, Another loud appeal from the bowler and the keeper, but for caught behind this time, but the umpire shakes his head again. However, the skipper, Shai Hope, doesn't take much time in taking a review here. Hard length and around off, nips back in sharply there. Mohammad Rizwan hops and looks to defend, but gets beaten on the inside edge as the ball has cut him in half. The ball goes over the off stump, and the keeper, Shai Hope, collects it to his left there. Third umpire is called in, and there is nothing on the UltraEdge when the ball has passed the bat. Actually, the ball has clipped the top of the off stump, and the sound was of that. Third umpire checks the Ball Tracking too, where it has missed the wickets and the ball has gone over them. West Indies burns another review here and now - they don't have any. Can't say that the Windies made a mistake in taking a review, as Shamar is in a fiery spell, and every ball is doing something, and there was a clear sound when the ball passed close to the bat, so that could have prompted the skipper, Hope, to take the review, but now they can only appeal and not challenge the on-field umpire's decision, which could be decisive.

Shamar Joseph to Abdullah Shafique, OUT! LBW! Excellent review from WIndies! They have got rid of Abdullah Shafique. On a hard length, from wide of the crease to create an inward angle, around middle, Shafique comes forward a bit and looks to flick it, but misses due to that inward angle and gets beaten on the inside edge. He gets rapped on the back pad and there goes a massive appeal for LBW from the bowler, but the umpire turns it down! However, Shamar Joseph is pretty much convinced and asks his skipper instantly to go for a review. Shai Hope was a bit hesitant, and Roston Chase was seen shaking his head to not take a review, but Hope listened to his bowler and opted for a review before the timer ran out. Third umpire is called in, and nothing is on the UltraEdge. However, Ball Tracking presents three reds, and the on-field umpire will have to change his decision.
