We are back with the chase! The umpires make their way out to the middle and are followed by the Chennai Super Kings, who burst off the final huddle to take the field. Travis Head, the impact substitute replacing Zeeshan Ansari, is joined by Abhishek Sharma to open the innings for SRH. Khaleel Ahmed has the new ball in hand and is ready to get things going. Right then, 155 runs to chase! With the dew already settling in, conditions are tilting in SRH’s favour, and this could be their golden opportunity to snap that winless streak at Chennai’s fortress and finally get off the mark. CSK, meanwhile, will need early breakthroughs to stay in the hunt, but make no mistake, the road ahead is steep but not impossible for the home side, especially against a struggling SRH batting lineup. Back in a bit for the second essay!

Kamindu Mendis is up for a chat. He says that the wicket is spinning a bit, but there is also dew and he tried to bowl into the pitch. Adds that he practices on both sides and even though his dominant hand is right, he feels comfortable on both sides. Mentions that they have bowled really well to restrict the opponents to a gettable score, and with the dew already settled, he hopes that they will chase this down.

For SRH, it was a rollercoaster in the field - moments of brilliance mixed with a few lapses. But when it came to bowling, they were absolutely on fire. Harshal Patel stole the show with a sensational four-wicket haul, setting the tone, while the rest of the attack backed him up beautifully.

The final overs were anything but ideal, with wickets tumbling and runs hard to come by. At one stage, it looked like they wouldn’t even bat beyond 18 overs. Thankfully for CSK, Deepak Hooda’s late cameo gave them something to bowl at, pushing the total just over the 150 mark.

Dewald Brevis, on his CSK debut, showed maturity beyond his years. He took time to get in and then forged vital partnerships, first with Jadeja, and later with Shivam Dube. The second pair brought the innings back on track during the middle overs with calculated aggression. But just when it looked like CSK had found their groove, both Brevis and Dube departed in quick succession, derailing the momentum yet again.

The innings began on the worst possible note for CSK with Shaik Rasheed falling off the very first ball, sending a jolt through the CSK dugout. But credit to young Ayush Mhatre, who walked in with intent, throwing counter-punches to push the momentum back and give CSK a decent head start. However, the joy was short-lived as both Ayush and Sam Curran fell inside the Powerplay, leaving CSK reeling at 50/3 at the end of six.

Chennai Super Kings huff and puff their way to 154, and once again, it’s a case of what could’ve been for the Men in Yellow. A few late fireworks from Deepak Hooda gave the total some respectability, but overall, it's another underwhelming batting display at home. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be thrilled with this effort. From the get-go, they hit their lengths, rotated their bowlers smartly, and kept the pressure on.
