We are back with the chase. Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh are walking out to open for Australia, while Nandre Burger will bowl the first over to the Aussies. They're chasing a target of 278 runs to win. The Aussies will aim to get off to a solid start and see off the new ball threat. Let's see how Head and Marsh fare against the South African bowlers.

Now, it's up to the Australian batters to rise to the challenge and chase down this total to level the series. Can they do it? We shall see how the chase unfolds.

Matthew Breetzke, the pick of the batters for South Africa, also shares a few words. He says that it's pretty cool, but he is gutted to miss out on the ton. Adds that he hopes the boys can do a good job with the ball. Mentions that Australia's bowlers really bowled well and used the change of pace nicely, but he feels his decision-making was pretty good too.

Xavier Bartlett of Australia is up for a chat. He says that he felt he successfully fulfilled his role of picking up early wickets with the new ball for Australia. He credited his good fortune in doing so and praised his team's efforts in restricting the Proteas to under 300. Bartlett highlighted the outstanding performance of the spinners and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to play for Australia, a childhood dream of his. Looking ahead to the chase, he hoped the dew would play a factor under the lights and acknowledged the opposition's strong bowling attack, but remained confident in his team's ability to successfully chase down the target.

The Aussies' bowling effort was solid, but it was their ground fielding and catching that truly shone, with some outstanding performances throughout the South African innings. While Adam Zampa took 3 wickets, he was expensive, conceding 63 runs in 10 overs. Meanwhile, Nathan Ellis was his usual brilliant self, using his variations to great effect and claiming 2 wickets. Xavier Bartlett also chipped in with 2 wickets, and Marnus Labuschagne provided crucial breakthroughs late in the innings, taking 2/19 off just 5 overs. Josh Hazlewood ended up picking one as well.

Matthew Breetzke was the star of the show with a top score of 88, while Stubbs chipped in with a classy 74. Although the South African batters looked to be getting into a groove, they were unable to sustain their momentum, getting out just when they seemed to be gearing up for a big finish. At one point 300 looked like a walk in the park for them but fall of wickets restricted them to 277.

South Africa's batting unit roared back to life after a shaky start, thanks to crucial partnerships between Matthew Breetzke and Tony de Zorzi of 67 runs, and later, Breetzke  and Tristan Stubbs of 89 runs. These stands helped the Proteas post a competitive total of 277, a score that will surely give the Aussies a run for their money.

The Proteas put up a formidable score of 277 after winning the toss and choosing to bat first. They would have taken this at the start of the game, and with the wicket assisting the spinners, they will feel a lot more confident of sealing the series here.
