The opposition has called for a Maharashtra Bandh on August 24 to protest the alleged sexual abuse of two four-year-old girls by a cleaning staff at a Badlapur school on August 12 and 13.

The directive was issued by the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) to urban local bodies in Delhi in a bed to help reduce air pollution and encourage a switch to cleaner modes of transport. The new parking charges are slated to come into effect by November 1.

Sources in the CBI said that his driver has also been summoned for questioning and a thorough search of his car was carried out. 

Before the session could begin, councillors from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gathered outside, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at MCD’s helm of “causing havoc” in Delhi.

“About 22 students applied to the college out of which 12 applications were under the single girl child quota. The college did not accept these applications,” Dean of Academics Haneet Gandhi told The Indian Express, adding that the college told the varsity its seats were full. 

The revised state action plan will be submitted to the Centre, after which a detailed winter action plan to combat air pollution will be prepared.

Hundreds of people had come out in protest on Tuesday against the incident in a private school and staged agitations  at the Badlapur railway station and outside the school where the accused was a cleaning staff member.

Complaints say they charge high fees, different amounts for same building

The parents gathered on the premises of Shree Narayan Vidyalaya on Waghodia Road to seek answers from the school management about the delay. The school had been conducting online classes, which the parents alleged were “ineffective”.

The development came after videos of their dangerous stunts were shared widely on social media platforms and brought to the attention of police.

According to the officials, the Fire Control Room received a call stating that a man alleged to be mentally challenged was refusing to get down from an overhead tank tower. Based on the input, the rescue teams reached the spot.

“Sama used to make phone calls to the complainant stating that the latter had not paid him his monthly instalment of Rs1500 for the past two months and therefore Rs3000 were due.” the inspector said.
