The accused was arrested under Section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC along with Section 12 (sexual harassment of child punishable with up to three years in jail and fine) under POCSO.
The police said they were investigating the case and would invoke a section of an anti-child marriage law against two accused, in addition to the murder probe.
The accused, identified as Abdul Kayum Abdul Aziz Shaikh, alias Kayum Katta, confessed to the crime and was arrested. Police have recovered the stolen item.
