Sony India has officially launched its Xperia X and XA smartphones in India. Sony Xperia X and XA are the first smartphones in the new X series to debut here. Sony is not bring Xperia X Performance to India yet but these devices will be seen as company's showcase device for the latest developments in the camera, battery and design departments. Sony Xperia X and XA will be Amazon exclusive and are priced at Rs 48,990 and Rs 20,990 respectively. Sony Xperia X will be available from June 7 while Xperia XA will only be available from third week of June.
Sony Xperia X is the more premium of the two and can be seen as the compact flagship this year. Sony Xperia X features a 5.0-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 650 processor. The scratch resistant display supports Sony's X-Reality Engine which does mean better colour reproduction. The smartphone has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, further expandable up to 200GB.
Sony Xperia X features the same state-of-the-art 23MP image sensor seen on Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium smartphones. The front camera is a 13MP one which should delight most selfie fans. Sony Xperia X is backed by a 2620mAh battery with Sony's battery saving technology. At Rs 48,990, it sounds just too premium for what it offers. Sony Xperia X will be available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colour options.
Sony Xperia XA is the mid-budget premium smartphone that will take on the likes of smartphones like Nextbit Robin, Lenovo Vibe X3 and OnePlus Two. Sony Xperia XA features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage.
Sony Xperia XA features a 13MP phase detection autofocus rear camera and an 8MP front camera that is capable of recording 1080p videos. The smartphone comes with non-removable 2300mAh battery. Sony is bringing this device in the third week of June in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colour options.
