First look: Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL

Microsoft Devices has launched the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL in India soon after it was unveiled at MWC 2015. The Lumia 640XL, one of the largest phones from the Lumia stable with a 5.7-inch screen, is priced at Rs 15,799 while the smaller Lumia 640 is priced Rs 11,999.

Both Lumia 640 and 640 XL runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim. Both the devices are upgradable to Windows 10 (for free) when it will arrive later in this year.

Microsoft Lumia 640 XL sports a 5.7-inch 720p HD display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection and Sunlight readability enhancements. On the other hand, the smaller Lumia 640 has a 5-inch screen with same display features.

The Lumia 640XL houses a 13MP A/F, ZEISS optics Lumia camera and a 5MP front camera. The Lumia 640 has an 8MP A/F rear camera and a 0.9MP HD front camera

Both Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL houses dual SIM card slots with 3G support only.
