People read a sign outside the closed Bank of Greece in Athens, Tuesday, June 30, 2015. It's crunch time for Greece, with the European part of its international bailout expiring Tuesday and with it any possible access to the remaining rescue loans it contains that it needs to pay its debts. As a result, the government is unlikely to repay a roughly 1.6 billion-euro ($1.87 billion) debt to the International Monetary Fund due Tuesday, too — a move that increases fears the country is heading to a messy default and potential exit from the euro currency. Peter Gash, owner and manager of the Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort, snorkels during an inspection of the reef's condition in an area called the 'Coral Gardens' located at Lady Elliot Island, north-east of the town of Bundaberg in Queensland, Australia, (June 11). Gash snorkels every morning before he attends to managing duties on the island, and was this morning showing the Great Barrier Reef rangers the current condition of the reef. UNESCO World Heritage delegates recently snorkelled on Australia's Great Barrier Reef, thousands of coral reefs, which stretch over 2,000 km off the northeast coast. Surrounded by manta rays, dolphins and reef sharks, their mission was to check the health of the world's largest living ecosystem, which brings in billions of dollars a year in tourism. Some coral has been badly damaged and animal species, including dugong and large green turtles, are threatened. UNESCO will say on Wednesday whether it will place the reef on a list of endangered World Heritage sites, a move the Australian government wants to avoid at all costs, having lobbied hard overseas. Earlier this year, UNESCO said the reef's outlook was "poor". (Source: Reuters)

Photographer Vincent West shot a stunning series of images of stuntman Daniel Bargueno Morilla flying through the air during an explosion on the set of the film Gernika. Morilla, 26, has been working as a stuntman since the age of 16, he tells his story here: It started with me doing acrobatics training in a gym. Then after doing a trial for Ignacio Carreno, who's been my boss ever since, I was off. What's it like being a stuntman? I love it. I have been a bit frightened occasionally but that's what I enjoy. I've got nervous now and again. When I've finished a stunt I feel even better for having done a risky job and for having done it well. I know I've been lucky. The only accident I've had during work was when I fell down some stairs and twisted my ankle, putting me out of action for a week. As for this photo, when it comes to jumping from ramps, I don't need to do much training. I've been doing it for years. Backward and forward somersaults, pirouettes, they've become second nature to me. I prepare for the scene, do all the rehearsals, then off I go. The night before a stunt I don't sleep because of the excitement. It's the best thing ever. (Source: Reuters)
