Many women struggle with late or irregular periods, painful cramps, and acne. To address the same, Dr Shilpa Arora suggests a 2-ingredient tea.
According to her, coriander seed tea regulates periods, eases cramps and bloating and clears acne naturally. "Just boil, strain & sip 2-3 times a day! Your body will thank you," she wrote on Instagram.
But is it effective?

According to Meenu Balaji, chief nutritionist at Pragmatic Nutrition, Chennai, there are home remedies that suggest drinking coriander seed water will improve menstrual health and regulate periods. (Source: Freepik)
"An animal study shows that taking coriander seed extract for 21 days reduced the diameter of the ovaries and number of ovarian follicles. This can lead to poor reproductive health, irregular periods or lighter flow, thereby affecting fertility," she pointed out. (Source: Freepik)
But we need to remember that the effect may be different in humans. Balaji said that there aren't many conclusive studies conducted among humans to assess the effect of coriander seed water in regulating menstrual health. (Source: Freepik)
For some people, drinking coriander seed water can cause bloating. "If you find drinking coriander seed water helps you, drink it in moderation. Taking large amounts may cause undesirable side effects," she added. (Source: Freepik)
