All Saints' Day is a Christian festival celebrated in honour of all the saints, irrespective of whether they are known widely or not. The Western Churches like the Roman Catholic Church, the Angelic Communion, the Methodist Church, Protestant Churches and the Lutheran Church, all celebrate it on November 1. The Eastern Orthodox Church and associated Eastern Catholic churches celebrate it on the first Sunday after Pentecost. The festival is known by other names like the Day of the Dead, Hallowmas, All Hallows' Day, Feast of All Saints or Solemnity of All Saints.
