Since its inception, Bigg Boss has been synonymous with controversies, fights, moping over and washing the dirty linen in public. Never has it failed to grab the eyeballs - be it of the audiences or the connoisseurs of cinema. So much so, that last year Salman Khan was almost on the verge of bidding adieu to the controversial show.
Though, everyone comes to the Bigg Boss house with an agenda of being in the news, there have been some, who have left the news media flabbergasted with their antics inside the house.
As Bigg Boss 8 begins on Sunday, we take a look at the newsmakers of its house.
The first season of this show was graced by the likes of Rakhi Sawant, Ravi Kissen, Rahul Roy and Kashmeera Shah. The bone of contention in this season was the drama queen, Rakhi Sawant, who made a huge hue and cry over other members of the house using her mug. Her rivalry with Kashmeera Shah was also brought out in open.
Rahul Mahajan was a queer character in the second season of the show. His attempts at wooing Monica Bedi and 'good friend'ship with Payal Rohatgi made quite a quirky scenario in the house.
The Bigg Boss mansion then housed the man himself - KRK - Kamaal Rashid Khan in season 3. The list of his innuenduos is endless. He first declared the house to be unfit for his survival, because, apparently, he owned a house much bigger than that. He often indulged in physical fights with the members of the house. He was escorted out of the house for he had hurled a water bottle at Rohit Verma during an argument.
The intimacy between Veena Malik and Ashmit Patel in season 4 went down to the levels of obscenity. People outside the house booed at them, while they, inside the house, coochie cooed with each other. Though the two parted ways after coming out of the house.
Sara Khan and Ali Merchant's wedding in season 4 was a televised event. The 'rasams' were all in place, including the 'suhaagraat'. But to the dismay of all lovers, their wedding was anulled as soon as they got out of the house.
Akashdeep Saigal, fondly called Sky Walker, took it all against Mahek Chahal in season 5 when he brought about her past and threatened to disclose the skeletons in her closet.
Dolly Bindra was the trouble maker in season four. The angry young man Sameer Soni and his friend Shweta Tiwari locked horns with Dolly time and again and the noise of their fights rose to highest decibels. That seadon is till date remembered as the most violent one.
Imam Siddique went a step further and challenged Salman Khan when he mouthed, "Time Out!" to him, which happened to be his unique way of shutting people in season 6. Salman, certainly, was infuriated at this.
Pooja Missra goes to win, hands down, the most interesting member of the Bigg Boss house ever. She was unique, over sensitive and courted controversies since her entrance to the house.
Season 7 was famous for its love stories. Tanishaa-Armaan and Gauahar-Kushal became the cynosure of all love-seeking eyes. Both relationships continue till day.
In season 7, Andy passed lewd comments on Gauahar Khan’s lingerie, during a task. An infuriated Kushal charged at Andy and held his neck. Kushal even jumped off the boundary wall of the Bigg Boss mansioon and was finally ousted from the house for his unruly behaviour. Gauahar too walked out with him in support, though she came back a day later.
Also, in the same season, Salman Khan was accused to be biased towards Tanishaa Mukerji and Armaan Kohli.
