Juhi Chawla says she took a year to say ‘yes’ to Jay Mehta, how Farah Khan scolded her and Shah Rukh Khan

Ace actor Juhi Chawla recently graced an episode of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, and she had lots to share about her co-stars as well as husband Jay Mehta. Juhi not only shared about her bond with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, but even revealed how Farah Khan used to scold her.

Juhi recalled judging Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa season 3: Juhi Chawla recalled her experience of judging the show's third season. "It feels amazing to be back on the stage. I was here with Saroj Khanji and Vaibhavi Merchant. Even in those days, the competition was amazing and such stellar performances."

Juhi Chawla's confession about getting scolded by Farah Khan: On the show, Juhi was talking about working with Farah Khan, and said, "Farah ji se sabhine kabhi na kabhi daant khayi hai." Farah, who happens to be one of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 judges'​​ refused the charge. Juhi then said, "I remember when Farah used to come on the sets while we were rehearsing, she would take the mic and say 'What rubbish is all this'. Reacting to this Farah said, "I used to say this to Shah Rukh, not Juhi," and to this, Juhi said, "Shah Rukh must see this show."

Juhi Chawla recalled the 'no vanity van' days: Farah reveals on the show that for the song 'Tu mere saamne', Juhi had 29 costumes. Juhi went on to share, "We used to go for outdoor shoots, there weren't any vanity vans. There used to be big buses so the last three rows in the bus would turn into our make room. Pandri dada would do my makeup and my hairdresser would fix my hair quickly. Then I would send them out and quickly change for the shoot."

Who gave Juhi 'the cheapest gift': Farah Khan asked Juhi on the show who had given her the cheapest gift from the celebs. On this Juhi revealed, "You want me to say? It was Aamir Khan. This was when we had just become stars. It was my birthday and in the evening Aamir called and said he would come home. He came home to wish me well, everyone in my house was excited. He sat and removed a small chocolate for me and said that is my gift."

When Ajay and Aamir pranked on Ishq set: Juhi shared how while shooting for Ishq, Ajay Devgn and Aamir Khan, 'despite their straight face and innocent appearances', would continuously play pranks on the set. Juhi shared about a new assistant director (AD) on set, and whenever he came to give the clap for a shot, Ajay and Aamir would poke him and the clapboard would shake. As a result, the AD would often get scolded by the director, Indra Kumar. Juhi also shared how sometimes they would even erase the markings for the shot. Each time, the AD would be scolded by our director, unaware that it was actually Aamir and Ajay who were behind the mischief.

​Why doesn't Juhi apply the hair oil she endorses to her husband: In a segment, 'Falooda with Farah', Farah Khan asked Juhi, "You have been endorsing a hair oil brand for years now whose USP is that it grows hair back. Why didn't you apply the hair oil to your husband Jay Mehta?" On this Juhi replied, "Dekho marriage mein na husband wife ek dusre ki baat nahi maante. Unhone meri baat nahi mani, ab dekho unka haal kya hogaya."

Juhi revealed exchanging love letters with husband Jay before marriage: Juhi Chawla has been married to industrialist Jay Mehta for 29 years now. She shared a bit about her love story and her dating days on the show. Juhi reveals how they used to exchange letters and cards with each other before tying the knot. "Before marriage, Jay used to write letters to me every day. After marriage, all of that stopped (laughs). Those days, we used to send letters and cards to each other which has now turned into emails and WhatsApp messages. Jay and I met at a dinner and then he started hovering around me. Once, on my birthday, he sent me a truck full of red roses. And, I took a year to say 'yes' to him."
