Jab ‘exes’ met: When Kareena-Shahid, Deepika-Ranbir, Rekha-Big B worked together

Gone are the days of bitter break ups; the film stars break apart in peace and harmony and in the rightest spirits. And the audiences seem to like it too. Films like 'Jab We Met', 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' and 'Ladies Vs Ricky Behl' in which the exes have apparently acted together, clicked with the people.

We bring to you the Top 5 have-been-couples who still share a winnable chemistry for the lens and have worked together after drifting apart:

Kareena Kapoor - Shahid Kapoor: It all started with 'Jab We Met'. Little do we know what exactly happened between the once-besotted couple Kareena Kapoor - Shahid Kapoor, but while they were filming Imtiaz Ali's 'Jab We Met', they were already drifting apart. Their chemistry was hugely appreciated and the movie became a blockbuster.

Shahid and Kareena are said to be working again in Abhishek Chaubey's 'Udta Punjab', though the duo will not share screen space with each other.

Anushka Sharma - Ranveer Singh: Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh were said to be dating during their movie 'Band Baaja Baraat'. But when it came to their second movie together 'Ladies Vs Ricky Behl', the rumoured couple had already broken up. The chemistry and camaraderie between the lead pair was praised and the movie went on to do a decent business at the Box Office. The duo will be seen once again in 'Dil Dhadakne Do' and not only that, the former lovers are likely to do an intimate scene.

Deepika Padukone - Ranbir Kapoor: Talking of exes, how can one forget Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor! A whirlwind affair followed by an ugly break up, Deepika even hurled hurtful comments and remarks at Ranbir on Karan Johar's talk show 'Koffee With Karan'. But later the duo decided to mend bridges and work together in Ayan Mukherji's 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani'.

The movie went on to earn more than Rs 100 cr at the Box Office and the Deepika-Ranbir pair became an instant hit again. The two are working together again in Imtiaz Ali's 'Tamasha', for which the shoot is underway in Kolkata.

Rekha - Amitabh Bachchan: They can't exactly be called exes, but Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha burned the screens whenver they came together for a venture. Yash Chopra had once said in an interview, "Amitabh Bachchan had said to me if I could convince his wife Jaya and Rekha to work together, he will do 'Silsila'. Their roles bore as much similarity to real life as they did in reel."

Though 'Silsila' didn't do much good to anybody's career, nor did it earn much at the Box Office, the movie is still a lover's dream.

The duo is now working together in R Balki's upcoming venture 'Shamitabh', where Big B plays a vocal artist. Though he and Rekha don't share screen space at all in the movie, the viewers are still excited to watch the movie.

Shilpa Shetty - Akshay Kumar: 'Dhadkan', starring Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty, also makes to our list. Akshay, the charmer, had apparently left a heartbroken Raveena Tandon to hook up with Shilpa Shetty and later left her too to marry superstar Rajesh Khanna's daughter Twinkle Khanna.

Akshay and Shilpa came together again to work in Ramesh Taurani's 'Dhadkan', which scored well at the Box Office as well as with the critics.
