Happy Birthday Amitabh Bachchan: Rare pictures of megastar with family and friends

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan rings in his 73rd birthday today (October 11) and we bring a few rare and old pictures of the superstar with his family and friends.

Having started on not such a good note in the industry, the actor rose to fame with director Prakash Mehra's 'Zanjeer' in 1973. The film was a turning point in his career as he gave a string of hits post that. His films like 'Abhimaan' and 'Namak Haraam' won him accolades all over.

Amitabh Bachchan married Jaya Bachchan (Bhaduri) in the year 1973, after the release of 'Zanjeer'.
