MDC murder: Property dispute reason,says police

The man who was found dead at a secluded spot on Saketri road in the Mansa Devi Complex has been identified as Mansingh.

The man who was found dead at a secluded spot on Saketri road in the Mansa Devi Complex (MDC) has been identified as Mansingh.

The victim was a resident of Daria and worked as a labourer,the police said. He was allegedly murdered by another Daria resident Amit,who works as an accountant with a local transport company.

Dispute over possession of a shop led to the murder,the police said.

On the day of crime,Amit allegedly took Mansingh with him in his Maruti car,killed him by hitting his head with a lathi and the threw the body on Saketri road.

The body of Mansingh,who was in his 40s,was found on Monday.

On Saturday,he was cremated.

Late in the night,the Panchkula Police arrested Amit.

The police said Amit was accompanied by two persons,who are the co-accused in the case. They are yet to be identified.
