The Bombay High Court on Thursday said investigations into the German Bakery blast case must continue.
A PIL was filed seeking inquiry into alleged lapses of the bureaucrats and police who failed to avert the blast in Pune on February 13.
Advocate V P Patil, the petitioner, has demanded that compensation which would be paid to the kin of victims should be recovered from those responsible for failing to avert the tragedy.
The PIL states that intelligence regarding the threat was provided to the state but the police was busy providing protection to theatres during the release of My Name Is Khan. Chief secretary, director general of police,Pune police commissioner and additional chief secretary (home) have been made respondents in the petition.
Patil had earlier filed a PIL seeking action against the (then) national security advisor for failing to avert terrorist attacks in Mumbai on November 26.
The court has asked to continue with the probe, said Additional Public Prosecutor Poornima Kantharia.
