Assembly Elections 2023, Karnataka Election Highlights, April 29: Addressing a public meeting in Kolar PM Narendra Modi came down heavily on the Congress for drawing parallels between a snake and himself, and said that the people of Karnataka will give the party a "befitting answer" in the upcoming Assembly elections. "They are comparing me with snake and seeking votes from people. For me, people of the country are a form of Lord Shiva. I accept being the snake on the neck of god-like public. The people of Karnataka will give them a befitting answer on May 10," said PM Modi. Earlier in a rally at Channapatna in Ramanagara district, he attacked the Congress and JD(S) and said "dynastic Congress and JD(S) were responsible for political instability in Karnataka." He alleged that both parties saw Karnataka as an ATM, and that they found an opportunity in instability. “The Congress and the JD(S) are responsible for the instability. They pretend to be two separate parties but are one in their hearts. They are together in Delhi. They assist each other in Parliament,” he said. Who else was in Karnataka yesterday?: Apart from PM Modi, several political heavyweights from across parties were campaigning in Karnataka on Saturday. At a public rally in Dharward, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said Narendra Modi is the only Prime Minister she has ever seen who narrates his agony before people instead of listening to their woes. Speaking in Udipi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the people of Karnataka should choose a BJP government instead of a ‘reverse gear' government of the Congress.
