Designer–Illustrator (Print Edition)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Designer–Illustrator to join our print edition team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing newspaper pages, producing engaging graphics, and creating compelling illustrations that enhance editorial storytelling. This role requires creativity, technical expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Design visually appealing and reader-friendly newspaper pages.
• Create impactful news graphics and visual explainers to support editorial content.
• Conceptualize and illustrate editorial features, including portrait illustrations.
• Collaborate closely with editors, reporters, and the design team to deliver high-quality visuals under tight deadlines.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in design aligned with the publication’s standards.
• Support the production process with a working knowledge of basic print production.

Key Requirements:-

• Strong skills in news graphics and visual explainers.
• Proven experience in newspaper page design.
• Ability to conceptualize and illustrate editorial content.
• Proficiency in QuarkXPress, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Comfortable working in a deadline-driven newsroom.
• Working knowledge of basic print production.
• BFA / MFA from a reputed university.
