WWE WrestleMania 40, Night 2: Cody with some help pins Roman to finally finish his story.WWE WrestleMania 40, 2024, Night 2, highlights: The much anticipated WrestleMania 40 finally concludes with a total of six action-packed matches taking place on Monday morning. Night two of WrestleMania 40 picked off from where it left on night. Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins started the proceedings of the night, as Drew finally managed to win a World Championship in front of a sold-out arena. However, his celebration was short-lived as CM Punks attacked him after the match before Damian Priest cashed in his MITB contract to become the new WWE World Heavyweight champion.
The Pride (Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits) then defeated The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam, and Rezar) to sign off the final chapter of their feud. The action continued with the megastar LA Knight pinning the phenomenal AJ Styles before Logan Paul, with the help of Ishow Speed, managed to retain his United States title against all odds, and in the final match before the main event, Bayley pinned her former friend Iyo Sky to win the WWE Women’s Championship.
However, in the biggest match of WrestleMania 40, the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes finally finished his story as he defeated Roman Reigns to become the new WWE Undisputed Universal Champion. Although it was not that easy, as it required Cody to get assists from John Cena, The Undertaker, Seth Rollins and Jey Uso to get Roman one-on-one, but with all the odds stacked against him, he somehow managed to come out victorious.

WWE WrestleMania 40, 2024, night one
The action-packed night one of WrestleMania 40 continues, setting the tone for night 2. The day started with the WWE Women’s World Championship match, in which the champion, Rhea Ripley, retained the title against Becky Lynch. The Undisputed tag team titles are now split, and two new champions will be crowned for each brand. Rey completes the doubles of WrestleMania win against his son Dominik, while the younger Uso Jey also managed to settle the score against Jimmy after winning yet another Bloodline civil war. Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Bianca Belair picked up her first victory in her first-ever WrestleMania. In shocking events, Sami Zayn overcame all the odds to beat Gunther and become the new IC Champion.
However, in the most talked about match of the evening, Rock and Roman defeated Cody and Seth to make the Cody vs Roman match at night two, the Bloodline Rules match. That is curtains on night one.
