Hundreds of thousands of internet users across the United Kingdom on Monday experienced internet outages as all major broadband providers reported service disruptions. Vodafone, BT, Voxi, EE, O2 and others have reported facing issues that have impacted home internet services as well as the mobile network. Vodafone, the UK's largest mobile and internet service provider, has been worst-hit with more than 150,000 reporting on Downdetector. REUTERS/Jason Cairnduff/File Photo Vodafone's critical internet outage was detected in Birmingham, Newcastle, Leeds and Milton Keynes, Cardiff and the company in a statement, said it was aware of a "major issue on our network affecting broadband, 4G and 5G services". “We are aware of a major issue on our network currently affecting broadband, 4G and 5G services. We appreciate our customers’ patience while we work to resolve this as soon as possible,” Vodafone said. According to Metro, WhatsApp, Grok, 3, Asda Mobile, Now, and Giff Gaff are also seeing increased reports of outages, in what some users are calling a ‘total blackout’.
