Qatar’s prime minister criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the country’s assasination attempt to target senior Hamas leaders while they were attending a meeting over a ceasefire discussion in Doha on Tuesday, calling Tel Aviv’s act as “barbaric”, CNN reported.
In an interview with CNN, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani said, “We were thinking that we are dealing with civilized people. That’s the way we are dealing with others. And the action that (Netanyahu) took – I cannot describe it, but it’s a barbaric action.”
I say to Qatar and all nations who harbor terrorists, you either expel them or you bring them to justice. Because if you don’t, we will pic.twitter.com/nlYa7r1OPi

Al-Thani added that the strike by Tel Aviv led forces in Doha have now “killed any hope” for the hostages held captive in Gaza by the Hamas militants.
Meanwhile, the Qatari authorities have said that they are searching for two missing people and are in the process of identifying human remains after the Israeli strike targeted the senior Hamas functionary. A BBC report quoting Israeli media stated that there were concerns in the military circle of Israel that the attack in Doha on Tuesday was not successful.
Meanwhile, Hamas has claimed that an attempt by Israel to assassinate its negotiating team has failed. Qatar’s interior ministry earlier stated that they recovered the bodies of three of the five lower level Hamas members who the Palestinian armed group said were killed along with a Qatari security officer.
“I was meeting one of the hostage’s families the morning of the attack. They are counting on this (ceasefire) mediation, they have no other hope for that,” Al-Thani said. The Qatari prime minister was visibly angry during a press briefing and he expressed the same in the interview with CNN.
“I have no words to express how enraged we are from such an action…This is state terror. We are betrayed,” Al-Thani told CNN.
US President Donald Trump has said categorically that the decision to strike Hamas militants in Doha was taken by Israel PM Netanyahu.
