Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer is winning the hearts of his fans with his traditional Bengali attire. Iyer shared a video on Instagram showing his team transforming him by dressing him up in a dhoti and kurta.

The video begins with Iyer in his vanity getting a haircut. He then wears the traditional Bengali white dhoti and purple kurta, and completes his look by wearing black slippers and a traditional white uttoriyo. The video ends with Iyer coming out of his van with someone complimenting him with khub bhalo (very good) in Bengali.

Sharing the video, Iyer wrote, “Embracing my inner Bengali.”

The video accumulated over 7,95,000 likes and various reactions since it was uploaded on Instagram. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “Our Handsome Skipp-Iyer.” Another fan commented, “He mistakenly born in maharashtra….he was supposed to born in bengal….simply wow.”

“Looking like a wow. super handsome,” the third fan commented. “I’m a CSK supporter but Ami Bangali of course is an emotion. Yaarr KKR Babumoshai,” another fan reacted.

Recently, Shreyas Iyer, who leads the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), appeared in Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show with Mumbai IndiansRohit Sharma. Speaking to the comedian, Iyer hailed Sharma saying he has been his idol since childhood. “He is from Mumbai and I am also from Mumbai. I have grown up watching him,” Iyer said on the show.

He also shared anecdotes about facing criticism from senior players.
