Ravindra Jadeja has remembered his late mother with a touching tribute–a sketch showing him standing beside her holding the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy. Last month Jadeja and India, led by Rohit Sharma, clinched the title by defeating South Africa in a thrilling final at the Kensington Oval, ending a 13-year wait.
Jadeja’s mother passed away in 2005, when he was just 17 years old and starting his career with India’s under-19 team. He recently remembered his mother with a touching post on Instagram. “Whatever I’m doing on the field, it’s a tribute to you,” Jadeja wrote.
With an impressive 962,073 likes, Jadeja’s post won hearts on the social media platform. An Instagram user commented, “This has our hearts!” Another user said, “Thalapathy best all-rounder in world.” A third user wrote, “Sir jadeja respect button.” A fourth user said, “This har our hearts sir jadeja.”
After India won the T20 World Cup, Jadeja decided to retire from T20I cricket. He also shared an emotional post describing the victory as the highlight of his career.
