The first thing that comes to a child’s mind when something goes wrong in India is, ‘How will mommy react?’ It’s a feeling that immediately reminds them of their desi mothers and their reprimand or scolding. A video of something similar happening to a little boy upon his encounter with a tiger in a zoo has left the Internet in stitches.

The viral clip shows the white tiger grabbing the kid’s T-shirt with its jaws. ‘Chor de, please, meri mummy mera chaknachur kar degi (Please spare me, my mother will thrash me if she finds my T-shirt torn),’ the boy says, trying hard to free himself from the big cat. After failing to free himself, the boy attempts to coddle the white tiger, politely saying, “Chor de please, mumma datengi (Leave me please, my mother will yell at me).”

The place, location, and date of the incident are unknown. Sharing the video, an X handle @gharkekalesh wrote, “Kid Starts shouting “Meri shirt chhod de, mummy Daantegi” after Tiger grabebed his shirt in Zoo.”

With over two million views, the video ignited a range of reactions. “This kid’s reaction is absolutely priceless! Even when a tiger grabs his shirt, his first thought is, “Meri shirt chhod de, mummy daantegi.” It’s a perfect example of how kids prioritize in their own hilarious way,” a user wrote. “He is scared of mom than tiger,” another user reacted.

“Haha, the kid was more worried about his mom’s scolding than the tiger,” a third user commented. “The kid has his priorities right!!” another user said.
