A video of a woman seated behind the wheel of an MG Astor on a road in Maharashtra is drawing criticism after she deliberately drove the vehicle forward and hit a traffic policeman who had stopped her. The exact location or date of the video, which was shared on Reddit, are unknown.
The now-viral clip begins with the officer standing firmly in front of the vehicle, trying to stop it from going ahead. However, the driver proceeded to move it forward slowly, forcing the officer to retreat step by step. At one point, the officer is heard repeatedly saying, “Video bana,” urging a person standing nearby to record the incident.

The clip quickly went viral with over 2,000 upvotes on Reddit, most of which criticised the woman. “Charge her for an attempt to run over the cop. Let her spend the next 10 years fighting for it,” a user posted, demanding strict action.
“The fault lies with the driver but why is the cop ready to sacrifice his life for an underpaid job? Just jot down the plate number, take a video and let the driver drive away, if she isn’t stopping despite the instructions by the police. No need to put your own life in risk.” another commented.
“Impound the car and suspend their licence. I think strict laws have to be formed, considering we are seeing more of this incidents nowadays,” a third user reacted.
Earlier, a video of an SUV driver dragging a constable on the bonnet after being stopped for a violation in Delhi triggered outrage on social media. According to reports, the incident occurred at Ber Sarai traffic light in Southwest Delhi.
