The surging trend of quick-delivery platforms has transformed people’s lifestyles. A student from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, recently ordered using three quick-commerce platforms to find out which one delivers the fastest. The results stunned the Internet, prompting a range of reactions on X.
The student placed orders on Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto, the three main players in the quick-commerce domain. The Blinkit app estimated a 13-minute delivery time for her order of two protein bars, while Swiggy Instamart committed to delivering her milk packet in 21 minutes. Zepto, on the other hand, promised to deliver the paneer she ordered in just eight minutes.
“Doing this random experiment at ISB campus. Ordering from all qcommerce apps together… let’s wait now to who comes first,” the student wrote on X.
The student also shared a video wherein she was seen speaking with the Zepto delivery partner, who explained that he had difficulty locating her exact spot within the campus, which led to a slight delay. The Zepto store was situated quite far from the ISB campus.
In another video, she announces the winner: Blinkit. She explained to the delivery guy about the competition she conducted, and that he won. As a token of appreciation, she hands him a chocolate bar saying, “Aap jeet gaye ho, sir (You won, sir.)”

The student, in another X post, announced the runner-up: Swiggy Instamart. “Swiggy instamart came second, and here is my friend with the order,” she wrote.

In a follow-up post, the student clarified that the only purpose of her experiment was to test how accurate the promised delivery timelines really are. “Some quick takeaways: Don’t take promised delivery times too seriously. The store’s location makes a huge difference. And delivery personnel truly deserve all the credit for making it happen,” she wrote.
