India is home to rich diversity which is also reflected in its food culture. All the states in India have their own popular cuisine and dishes that people mostly associate with them. However, often these states are also stereotyped with their food choices as people assume that if they come from that particular state, they must be having a particular food all the time.

A Twitter thread showing how a dish associated with a particular state is stereotyped as people eating it all the time is going viral. The trend involves posting a collage of four photos with a dish that their state is most famous for. Then the different boxes are marked as breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Maharashtra was represented by its most popular dish vada pav. Poha, which is available widely in every nook and corner of Madhya Pradesh, was shown as being its staple food. Someone from Kolkata showed how people assume they eat fish curry all the time.
