After Delhi Metro‘s decision to start patrolling by Delhi Police personnel inside coaches to control incidents of “public obscenity” inside compartments, now, a video of a couple riding a scooter in Delhi is going viral for the way they are sitting. The clip shows a man driving the scooter and a woman riding pillion. Both of them are not wearing helmets and are hugging each other sitting precariously, posing a danger to their lives.
The couple’s video was posted on Instagram by a woman named Shalu Kashyap Taneja. “Ye kaisa ishq ho raha hai Dilli walo ko,” she wrote in a text insert in the video.

The video has amassed more than 11.7 million views since being posted two days ago and received a mixed reaction from netizens.
“When Yamraj ji and Delhi police are on holiday, this love comes out,” commented a user sarcastically. “Our society does not understand the happiness of two people, why?” said another. “Kabir Singh part 2,” wrote a third referring to the Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer that included a scene of the couple kissing while riding a motorcycle.
In a bid to crack down on acts of “nuisance” and “obscene activities” inside the Delhi Metro, Delhi Police will now deploy over 100 of its personnel in civilian clothes inside the compartments at pre-identified stations, official said. Along with DMRC and CISF officials, these police personnel will prosecute offenders on the spot and take further legal action, officers added.
