A wall painting advertisement in Bengaluru’s Nayandahalli has gone viral for a hilarious typo. Meant to promote a matrimonial service, the ad proudly says,”Bride and Broom Information Centre” instead of “Bride and groom,” leaving the Internet in splits.

While the service claims to help people from Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, “Hindi,” Malayali, and Gujarati communities find their perfect match, it’s the unintentional mention of a “broom” that ended up sweeping social media’s attention.

The post went viral with over a lakh views and social media users filled the comments section with clever and humorous reactions.

A user said, “After marriage groom will be handed a broom.” Another user wrote, “Omggg I’ve seen this near the Nayandahalli junction so many times. How didn’t I ever notice that mistake??”

A third person commented, “Its a subtle message. Not far from truth in some marriages.” A fourth individual said, “Swachh Bharat is getting out of control now.”

Recently, a road sign with spelling errors also caught the Internet’s attention after entrepreneur Sanjeev shared a photo on X. Sharing the photo, he wrote, “This is on airport road towards the city. I bet someone new to the country and/or the city will definitely wonder if Bengaluru and Bangaluru are two different cities!”

The signboard, meant to guide travelers, lists four destinations: KR Puram, Tumkur, and two versions of Bengaluru—one spelled correctly and the other as Bangaluru.
