What sets a billionaire’s brain apart from yours? Dr Sweta Adatia, a neurologist and founder of Limitless Brain Lab, recently unpacked the science behind high-performance thinking in a conversation with Raj Shamani.

When asked whether billionaires think differently, Dr Adatia said two key factors shape the brain: environment and genetics. “A combination of nature and nurture will make your brain bloom,” she explained. “People who have a spark in them from the beginning often become successful.”

According to her, success boils down to clarity of purpose. “Focus, mission, vision, and purpose are all one needs,” she said, adding that it is possible to actively rewire the mind. “Absolutely. I also believe in neuro-manifestation. Your mind and brain are all it takes to achieve anything.”

Dr Adatia highlighted the role of the frontal cortex in billionaires. “The power of the frontal cortex is significantly higher in a billionaire’s brain. No matter how many challenges they face, they keep trying, building resilience and endurance.” She added that emotional detachment plays a crucial role in sharpening focus and attention: “He (a billionaire) converted purpose into outcome.”

She also cautioned against complacency. “Never feel content, because you won’t grow. Opportunity and growth lie beyond contentment. It’s foolish to be satisfied.”
