India’s veteran cricketer Virat Kohli left cricket enthusiasts worldwide emotional on Monday as he announced his retirement from Test cricket. In a heartfelt post on social media, Kohli wrote, “I’m walking away with a heart full of gratitude — for the game, for the people I shared the field with, and for every single person who made me feel seen along the way. I’ll always look back at my Test career with a smile.”
Soon after the announcement, fans flooded the internet with emotional tributes.

In a small clip, which is viral on X, the YouTuber can be seen reading out Kohli’s retirement post. “All the legends are retiring,” he yells as he finishes reading. “And he won an ICC (ICC Champions Trophy). Why would he retire bro! He just won an ICC,” IShowSpeed continues.

Virat Kohli, who is India’s fourth-highest run-scorer in Test history, debuted in the Tests in Jamaica against the West Indies in June 2011. He further took over the role of India’s Test captain in 2014, succeeding M S Dhoni.
