Delhi often gets a bad rap from foreign tourists, with concerns about pollution and safety dominating many reviews. But a recent viral video is turning the conversation around.

A travel vlogger, who goes by bellaandherbackpack_ on Instagram, shared her love for the Indian capital, urging people to “stop listening to people who hate Delhi.” In her video, she spoke about everything she loves about the city—its rich history, lively markets, diverse food scene, and buzzing nightlife.

Having visited multiple times, she calls Delhi one of her “favourite places” in the video, and encourages travellers to give it a fair chance. She recommends exploring spots like Hauz Khas, Chandni Chowk, Sarojini Nagar, and Safdarjung Enclave, showing a side of Delhi that often gets overshadowed by negative stereotypes.

She also shares must-visit historical landmarks, top shopping destinations like Sarojini Nagar and Janpath Market, and her appreciation for Delhi’s growing coffee culture and nightlife.

Her video has struck a chord, racking up over 784,000 views, with many locals thanking her for showcasing the city’s charm rather than the usual focus on poverty and pollution.

One user wrote, “Finally someone stayed in South Delhi and had a good experience.” Another user commented, “Finally someone doing it right!!!”

A third user wrote, “Love how you showed me my city in a new light.” A fourth individual said, “Loved the ‘let’s not do the slum tour’ and glamourise/romanticise that. Thank you for being respectful.”

Another Instagram user wrote, “First time someone did Delhi right and does know about the privileges of blinkit zomato swiggy. For people living in the countryside abroad these things are totally privileges but instead of appreciating the convenience culture in India all they do is complain about hospitality and food even though if you look for it India has the best hospitality and food. From five star chains to street food to hostels to fine dine restaurants.. everything is there but just cause tourists don’t do their research properly.”
