British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran broke the internet with his recent video showing a heartwarming fan encounter during a video shoot. Social media users, in the comments, identified the place as Regent’s Canal in London. The video is making waves with celebrities like Piers Morgan reacting to it.
In the now-viral video, Sheeran, while being filmed, spots a woman jogger. He waves at the woman and can be heard saying, “Hi, any requests?” and the woman responds with “Um, Tenerife Sea.”
Sheeran sings the song, playing the guitar, while the woman pulls her phone out and starts recording.
Sharing the video on Instagram, the singer wrote, “Was filming a video on the canal today, played a request. If anyone knows the runner lemme know so we can have their POV video for the lols.”

Within 12 hours, the video garnered over 10 million views as fans and celebrities flocked to the comment section. Journalist Piers Morgan commented, “Brilliant.”
The video also reached the woman who had the heartwarming encounter with Sheeran. “THIS IS ME”, she commented from her account, @nikkiatkinss.
A fan commented, “I just couldn’t!! If Ed asked me to request a song my brain would not be able to name a single song even though I know them all off by heart! With hindsight I’d say small bump but on the spot I just couldn’t,”
“You are the reason why the guitar is the most beautiful instrument,” another fan wrote. “Oh my God, if that happens to me I think I’ll lose my way. That’s so sweet,” a third fan commented.
Ed Sheeran hogged headlines recently after he joined Arijit Singh during one of his concerts in London. In a viral video, Sheeran and Singh were seen singing Perfect, playing the guitar on the stage. The Sajni singer shared a series of photos with Sheeran and thanked him for the “perfect” moment.
