Indian smartphone manufacturers are out for a war – a war where the number of smartphones launched counts more than anything else. While one OEM prefers to launch 20 smartphones at once, the other prefers introduce phones every single week. Intex, which commands a significant brand value in India, does exactly this.
Banking on budget specs and budget pricing, the company has even is offering 4G devices at very low-prices.

Positives
If you are buying this device then it has to be for its 4G capabilities and Android Marshmallow OS. I tried Airtel 4G on this one in Delhi area, and it worked exactly like it does on some premium smartphones.
Intex Cloud Fame 4G runs Marshmallow, which allows for searching on any screen with Google Now on Tap. The battery standby is better when the device is left stationary thanks to Doze mode.
The camera on Intex Cloud Fame 4G works exactly like what any other 4,000 rupees smartphone would offer. It is extremely slow but I’m fine with it for the price. The picture it produces definitely looks better. The camera is useful only in well-lit environments.
The display and performance matches the price. I had absolutely no issues using WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media services on this phone. The smartphones in this price range are ideal for staying connected.
Negatives
Intex Cloud Fame 4G is not one of the best looking device in the market. This one looks few generations old.
The battery is decent, but could have been better considering the fact that 4G drains battery rather quickly.
Verdict
Intex Cloud Fame 4G is a great option for anyone looking to buy their first smartphone under Rs 5,000. The 4G ready radio signals and Android Marshmallow make it sound future proof.
With Reliance LYF challenging Intex Cloud Fame with its own Flame handset, Intex will have some tough competition.
