The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) recently cracked down on Paytm Payments Bank, asking the company to stop accepting deposits, credit transactions, and FASTag top-ups in any customer account after February 29, which faces charges of non-compliance. It was later extended the deadline to March 15 citing “larger public interest”.

The company is also prohibited from performing any top-ups, operating prepaid instruments, wallets, National Common Mobility Cards, FASTags and more.
