Microsoft has launched the latest sci-fi based game Halo 5: Guardians in India

Microsoft has announced the launch of Halo 5: Guardians, the most awaited game on the Xbox platform. The game will be available starting today for Rs 4,699 from Flipkart, Amazon India and Snapdeal.

The Halo 5: Guardians is the latest addition to the popular Halo franchise which is now valued at $4.6 Billion. The Halo is a sci-fi gaming series published by Microsoft Studios exclusively on its Xbox gaming platform.

“Games and gamers are at the center of everything we do and we’re always looking to offer the best ways to play on Xbox. With the launch of Halo 5, we hope to offer fans slick gameplay and a fantastic campaign. The two new multiplayer modes mark the greatest evolution in Halo history,” said Anshu Mor, Director – Interactive Entertainment Business, Microsoft India

Microsoft also partnered with YouTube to celebrate the launch of Halo 5: Guardians for an exclusive six-hour live broadcast titled Halo 5: Live. Microsoft says the live broadcast connected millions of Halo fans and allowed viewers to watch, comment and virtually participate in launch celebrations.

The game is developed by 343 Industries which was established in 2009 by Microsoft to oversee the development of Halo series. The first game in the franchise was ‘Halo: Combat Evolved’ released in 2001 and the next release Halo Wars 2 is expected to hit the floors in 2016.
