The partnership will allow Micromax Around users to book an Uber ride without having to download the app.

Micromax has partnered with Uber to integrate its services into Around. Micromax Around is company’s software that aggregates services from different providers. Micromax says the exclusive partnership will provide users an unique on-device native experience. The Micromax-Uber partnership will last for three years. The Around service is exclusively available for Micromax users on Google Play Store.

“This partnership will help UBER unlock growth across the huge user base of Micromax in India and also help our consumers get the best in class experience from the leaders in ride sharing. Our focus, going forward, will be on building native experiences that will bring alive a connected ecosystem,” Rahul Sharma, Co-Founder, Micromax Informatics said.

The partnership will allow Micromax Around users to book an Uber ride without having to download the app. Users can get ETA and fare estimates for Uber services on their Micromax smartphone. According to Micromax, users will have on-device native integration as well as factory loading of the Uber app on its devices.

The company plans to roll out the update in phases to existing as well as new users.

Micromax announced ‘Around Yu 2.0’alongside the launch of YU Yunicorn smartphone. Around YU 2.0 comes with access to doctors on demand. The company says this allow people at remote locations to interact with doctors over video calls, but again it will depend on the network connectivity. Around Yu also comes with an integrated wallet UDIO, which makes cab bookings effortless.
