The competition among tech brands in India just got a bit more tougher. China-based internet multinational Letv has announced its decision to enter the Indian market by early 2016, with Founder Jia Yueting saying as much at an event in Beijing. The company, which has a bouquet of devices from smartphones and TVs to stakes in transportation, film and entertainment, said that it "would be looking at replicating its highly successful content-device ecosystem in the country, providing users with a whole new entertainment based experience". Letv said it wants to provide Indian consumers with local entertainment-based content and is looking for partners in content providers and creators. The devices will also feature the Eco User Interface providing access to Letv’s content-device based ecosystem which has found takers in the Chinese markets. The company is also seriously considering local manufacturing facilities as a long-term vision, a release said. It announced a 120-inch smart TV at the event.
