Discord, the popular instant messaging and voice platform popular amongst gamers worldwide is getting a new digital shop that features several 'Avatar Decorations' and 'Profile Effects' to make user profiles stand out. The 'Shop' is a marketplace where users can purchase various items to help them upgrade their profile. It has a wide range collection of items like breakfast food, to anime emotes and magical effects that enhance the look of user profiles. With winter just around the corner, Discord is also adding a new item called 'Winter Wonderland!' that allows users to choose between a 'snowy pinecones' filled avatar or a set of string lights. Discord says the Shop will be frequently updated with new items with another collection becoming 'before the year ends.' When you make a purchase from the shop, Discord says it will be yours to keep forever. Users can currently purchase items from Discord's Shop on the desktop and web versions of the app, with support for mobile apps coming under development. The Shop tab is located just below the Nitro tab that appears when you click on the Discord icon at the top left of the app. The developers are also working on the ability to gift other users items from the shop. Discord Nitro subscribers will be able to get new items from the Shop at a discounted price and claim an exclusive set of 5 DISXCORE-themed items if they have an active membership.
