Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple is all set to visit India for the first time in seven years to inaugurate the country's first Apple store in BKC, Mumbai on April 18 says Bloomberg. Today, the world's richest tech brand confirmed to launch two new Apple stores in India in April, located in BKC Mumbai, and Saket New Delhi on April 18 and 20, respectively. Tim Cook visited India back in 2016 for a country tour. Since then, Apple has seen enormous growth in the country and has even made several new initiatives such as local manufacturing of iPhones and the launch of the Apple store online. Given the launch of Mumbai's and Delhi's Apple stores are just two days apart, Tim Cook is likely to be present at both events. Tim Cook is also said to meet the Prime Minister of India, which could open up a lot of new opportunities for both Apple and India. While there have been several Apple-exclusive stores across the country, these are the first set of stores which are designed and maintained by Apple in the country. Besides selling products, the company will also use this space to educate users regarding various features and capabilities of Apple products. It is also expected to allow users to order an Apple product online and then get it collected from either of these stores, which will be helpful for those, who want to get their hands on the newly launched Apple products. With the ongoing tension between China and the US, Apple not only looks at India as a market to sell its products but also as a place where it can manufacture its products for global exports. Apple has several iPhone assembly units across the country, and it is likely to start manufacturing more devices to both sell and export to other countries in the coming days.
