iOS 17 public beta is finally official (Credit: Apple) In June, Apple announced iOS 17, the latest version of the iPhone operating system. Now, the new update is available in a public beta and free for iPhone users to try.
iOS 17 is a pretty major update for iPhones, which introduces a lot of new features and capabilities, including NameDrop, StandBy mode, interactive widgets, a new phone app, and a lot more.
iOS 17 public beta is available for 20 different iPhone models. However, depending on the mode and the hardware capabilities, some iPhones might not get all the capabilities of iOS 17.
If you have an iPhone running on the latest version of iOS 16, follow this procedure to install iOS 17 public beta on your device.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates > and select public beta. Make sure you have signed up for the public beta updates via the Apple Beta Software program website and use the same Apple ID on your iPhone to download and install the first public beta of iOS 17.
