Apple has updated its developer’s page to reveal iOS 12 is now running on 60 per cent of active iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch devices. According to the company, its latest operating system is now running on 60 per cent of all Apple iOS-powered devices and in 63 per cent of the iOS-powered devices launched in last the last four years.
According to the updated developer’s page 60 per cent of all active iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch devices currently run iOS 12, 29 per cent are still running iOS 11, whereas 11 per cent devices remain that this run iOS 10 or older.
The difference is not that huge in iOS-powered devices launched in the last four years as 63 per cent devices run iOS 12, 30 per cent are on iOS 11 and only seven per cent devices run iOS 10 or older.
In comparison to last month, Apple reported that iOS 12 had reached a 50 per cent adoption rate, whereas iOS 11 was on 39 per cent of devices and 11 per cent of devices were on older versions of the operating system. Comparatively iOS 12 has now grown by 10 per cent, iOS 11 has seen a decline of 10 per cent, whereas older iOS versions have stayed at a constant 11 per cent.

Apple recently released a new update for the operating system dubbed iOS 12.1, which brings new features like selfie camera improvements, group FaceTime and more. This might give a sizable bump to the number of iOS device users who will update to the newer operating system.
