The new Far Cry game, fifth in the series and titled Far Cry Primal, is set to take you back to stone age. Carve your own spears, hunt mammoths and try your luck against vicious sabertooths as the most divergent Far Cry title is set to release on February 23, 2016.
What we want from Far Cry Primal:
Far Cry is arguably the best first-person sandbox game series and the fans swear by the way Ubisoft has pushed the series, making each installment sharper than the other. We expect no less from Far Cry Primal.
If the trailer is anything to go by, the game will not be a Turok: Evolution makeover, where you can shoot down dinosaurs with your crossbow. Far Cry is known for its realistic game design and we believe taking down a charging mammoth is going to be no easy task.
Also, the trailer shows how the player engages in activites (like hunting, scavenging and carving weapons) with a group of other players. We believe this might be a sneak peek into the multiplayer co-op campaigns the new Far Cry may offer to players. A chance to take on a herd of beasts with nothing but primitive arrows and your best friends? We can’t wait.

What we suspect may dampen the series:
If you ask a gamer what his favourite passtime in Far Cry is, he would probably say riding around in an open jeep and taking on guerrila soldiers as they drive by. Far Cry has offered us unfogettable car-based action in the past, alongwith earth-shattering explosions and a vast aresenal of guns.
Now, we know there wasn’t any cars back in stone age, or guns, for that matter. We believe hardcore Far Cry fans might find this to be a let down. However, Ubisoft has never failed with Far Cry so far. We should wait for more details as Ubisoft reveals more campaign modes, gameplay styles and the story.
Finally, we would like to say that the graphics of Far Cry Primal looks stunning and it should look gorgeous on next-gen consoles.
